Job Description: 

Come intern for one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world. The Foundry Technology Engineering summer internship program is an immersive experience for students looking to build their technical skill and learn about Intel's 3DIC design capability.

 

About Foundry Technology Engineering (FTE):

FTE is part of the Global External Manufacturing and Sourcing group who is responsible for driving external manufacturing technical engagements.

 

About this role:

Students hired into this program will spend 10-12 weeks working closely with DSE (Design Service Engineering) team alongside other world-class teams within FTE. Internship assignments will range from working with Testchip and 3DIC TFM team, CAD/DA team, Technology Pathfinding team, and business groups. All internship projects will be technical and give you exposure to FTE's service portfolio and business processes.

 

Job responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Work on challenging technical projects that help drive 3DIC TFM enablement and 3D PPA dashboard deployment.
  • Learn about 3D partitioning, optimization, and signoff.
  • Build a robust technical and business acumen.

Length of internship: 3 months with the possibility to extend it as per business' needs.

 

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must be enrolled in a master's or PhD program and studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

  • 3+ months of experience in the following:
  • Programming experience in Perl, Python and/ or TCL

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of 3DIC design flow
  • Experience with physical design flow using industry standard EDA tools.
